Solvoyo Size and Prepack Optimization solution help fashion retailers determine the best size breakdown and prepack combinations that meet store-level size selling needs while taking into account business and operational constraints such as minimum presentation levels for each store and preferences for types of pre-packs used by product category. Prepacks are pre-defined combinations of sizes and corresponding units packed together to facilitate faster handling during the distribution process.  Prepacks can contain, all sizes, some of the sizes, or only a single size, therefore determining the combination of which prepacks to use and how much to order of each prepack for a given option, taking into account all store-level variations in size selling is a complex problem.

Solvoyo Size and Prepack Optimization solution first recommends a size breakdown of the total buy quantity (calculated in Assortment Planning) based on the size-selling analysis of similar products. Size profiles can be universal (covering all of the stores of the retailer) or local (supported by size-clustering). Once the size breakdown is confirmed, then the next step involves determining the best combination of the prepacks for the selected size profile. The solution can work with fixed prepacks (pre-determined by product type), flat packs (single units of each size), Singles (one or multiple units of a single size), variable full packs (multiple units of each size), partial packs (containing a subset of the available sizes), manual pre-packs (created by the user on the spot)  or any combination of these.  The output of the prepack optimization are the specific prepacks and the number of each prepack that meets the min-presentation rules and other business constraints.
